  • Safer Prescribing: Our coalition is working to ensure local providers adopt and implement guidelines to protect patients, and help prescribers understand the importance of safer prescribing and pain management education.


  • Safe Disposal: Our coalition actively tracks the volume of take back drugs by law enforcement that is being sent for destruction by the DEA and is working to provide knowledge to the community on safe disposal sites as well as expand the number of disposal sites within the county.​


  • Medical Assisted Treatments (MAT): As a county with limited medical resources our Coalition is working with neighboring agencies to provide immediate resources and is moving towards increasing the number of MAT providers in the county and to establish a referral system to meet the local needs.

  • Naloxone: Our Coalition has secured grants for immediate training and distribution of naloxone to emergency responders, local agencies, and organizations to provide life saving measures to the public if needed.​

  • Outreach: Our Coalition strives to provide educational information to the local community to promote safe disposal, decrease opioid misuse.
