What is the San Benito County Opioid Task Force?
We are a local community opioid safety coalition committed to preventing opioid overdoses and deaths in San Benito County through prevention efforts such as safe prescribing, safe medicine disposal, medication assisted treatment(MAT), naloxone training and distribution, and outreach.
Our Mission
The San Benito County Opioid Task Force, is driven to do our part in ending the opioid epidemic locally. We are committed to reducing opioid use, misuse, overdose, and overdose deaths in San Benito County through strategic community wide mobilization.

By providing anonymous options for safe disposal of medication and sharps, we are creating a safer and cleaner community. We have disposal sites, participate in the National Take Back Day Events, and provide free medication disposal envelopes as well.
