San Benito County Opioid Task Force
Creating an Informed Accountable Community to Decrease Opioid Use and Misuse

OPIOID SETTLEMENT FUNDS SURVEY...

OPPORTUNITY FOR INPUT HERE...

What is the San Benito County Opioid Task Force?

We are a local community opioid safety coalition committed to preventing opioid overdoses and deaths in San Benito County through prevention efforts such as safe prescribing, safe medicine disposal, medication assisted treatment(MAT), naloxone training and distribution, and outreach.

As part of multi-state/jurisdiction opioid-related lawsuits, San Benito County will be receiving a portion of settlement funds for the next few years. Funds received will range from ($80,000-$200,000 per year).

The settlement requires funds to be used for care, treatment, prevention and other strategies to address the misuse and abuse of opioids. Requirements include that at least 50% of the funds must be used for high impact abatement activities.

As a next step, a survey has been developed to assist with obtaining stakeholder and community input on best use of funds to maximize impact in our community. If you haven’t already, please complete the survey. The QR code and link are available to take survey here:
